Samantha Spence

Hey, I’m Samantha, A counsellor based in Vancouver, offering online counselling across British Columbia. I work with individuals, couples and parents. I support those who are feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or navigating complex life transitions.

My counselling practice is grounded in a client-centered and collaborative approach, where your lived experiences, goals and values guide us. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all, as healing looks different for everyone. My aim is to create a safe and supportive theraputic relationship in which you feel empowered to move toward change.

My counselling supports those who may be experiencing anxiety, trauma, attachment and relationship concerns, co-parenting and separation, difficulty with emotional regulation or chronic stress. I value an integrative and (W)holistic approach to counselling, recognizing that healing takes place in the mind, body and nervous system. My work is trauma-informed, with principles of attachment theory, interpersonal processes, somatic experiencing (SE) and emotion-focus therapy (EFT).

About Me

I grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Treaty 1 Territory) and moved to Vancouver to complete my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Simon Fraser University. Outside of my professional life, I love spending time in the mountains or near the ocean. I find joy in moving my body through sport, physical exercise and cooking.

I am deeply passionate about (W)holistic healing and the connection between physical wellness, nutrition and mental health. The values the guide my counselling practice also shape how I live personally.
